provider in the Midwest of specialized services for all forms of
cancer, leukemia, brain tumors, sickle cell disease, thalassemia,
and hemophilia and bleeding disorders. Children's treats 57
percent of children in the Chicago area diagnosed with brain
tumors and more than 30 percent of children diagnosed locally
with leukemia, solid tumors, and blood diseases. At any
given time, a patient at Children's may be treated by a team of
